How 30 Second Tracking + 300 Meters + 30 Degrees for FLEETBridge Tracking WorksUpdated 3 months ago

Our system tracks the location of the unit and provides position updates at specific intervals.

  • Frequent Updates: The system transmits your asset's location every 60 seconds (1 minute) while it's in motion. This ensures you have a clear understanding of your asset's movements throughout the day.
  • Detailed Turn Monitoring: In addition to the regular minute updates, the system triggers an additional position report whenever the asset detects a turn exceeding 65 degrees. This increased detail allows you to monitor even subtle changes in direction, providing a more comprehensive picture of your asset's journey.
  • Optional Distance Threshold (300 meters): For even more granular tracking, our system can be configured with an optional distance threshold (e.g., 300 meters). This means that if the asset moves less than the specified distance within a minute, a position update might not be transmitted. This can be useful to optimize data usage or reduce unnecessary reports for stationary assets.

Example:

Imagine driving for two and a half minutes, followed by a turn onto a side street. In this scenario, you would receive the following position updates:

  • Starting position
  • Position updates at each minute mark during the drive (1-minute, 2-minute mark)
  • Position update upon completing the turn (assuming the turn angle exceeds 65 degrees)
  • Position update once traveled 300 meters or 1-minute on the side street
  • Position updates at subsequent minute intervals after resuming travel
