Battery Life & Functionality
- Motion Activated: The FPT-5210 starts tracking when motion is detected and enters sleep mode when stationary for four minutes.
- Tracking Intervals: It transmits location updates according to your chosen plan, even during sleep mode.
- Battery Life: Expect:
- 2 days with very active tracking
- 3-5 days with moderately active tracking
- Up to 7 days with minimal activity
Turning the Device On/Off
- Power On:
- Press and hold the power key for 3 seconds (PWR LED turns on).
- Alternatively, connect the device to a charger (PWR LED turns on automatically).
- Power Off:
- Press and hold the power key for 2 seconds (PWR LED flashes then turns off). The device may take up to 90 seconds to fully power down.
Charging
- The FPT-5210 uses a standard AC-DC power adapter (approximately 5 hours for a full charge).
- You can also charge using a USB cable connected to a computer.
- Monitor battery level and receive charging notifications through the Fleetbridge mobile app or web platform.
LED Status Lights
Understanding the LED lights can help diagnose FPT-5210 functionality:
- Green (flashing every 3 seconds): Device is on
- Blue: GPS signal
- Red (PWR): Power status
- Green (CEL): Cellular connectivity (refer to Fleetbridge resources for detailed information)
